What can we do to help?
Our goal is to help empower kids and teens.
We do this by providing guidance on personal development and self-empowerment for kids and teens. We do this through empowerment coaching and classes, and courses. We help youth who are struggling with any of the following, bullying, low-self-esteem, social skills, anxiety, mental illnesses, depression, suicide, substance abuse, substance abuse issues, who have witnessed or suffered abused, etc.... Or if your child would like to learn any life skills that will be beneficial for them in their life. I (f your child's needs are more than what we offer, we will be happy to refer you to other places).
We help build confidence, find inner strength, conquer fears, build social skills and any barriers that hold them back. If you find your child struggling DON'T WAIT TO GET HELP
Our classes are held in a group setting. Each week we will cover different topics. like, team building, boundaries, meditation, mindfulness, resilience, coping skills, managing emotions, decision making, and more…
Every other week we have our fun Thursdays where we will go out on an activity.
We also visit horses once weekly. In fall and winter, it's once every 2 weeks. Being around horses can build confidence, learn to control your emotions, improve communications skills, build trust, and impulse control.
We also meet with each individually for one-on-one coaching.

EXPERIENCE -As parents we have seen the problems and been through the challenges. We have worked with not only our own children but other children for years. We are certified peer support specialists and empowerment coaches, Also, I was what they called a "troubled kid". NO KID IS BAD IN OUR EYES! Kids' go through things just like adults, but the difference is they don't know how to process it. In my experience, I was not "troubled", I just needed someone to take the time to look deeper and realize I was hurting and dealing with overwhelming emotions I didn't understand.at the time. I understand the problem kids and teens face with bullying, sexting, low self image, weight issues, substance abuse, etc. We both have worked in many addiction centers, and watched adults still struggling with the trauma they suffered as kids. It's much easier to help a child now than wait until they reach adulthood.
Meet Jeff and Karen.
They've always had a passion for helping the youth. After seeing that little help was offered to youth and teens, One Empowered was created.
Jeff struggled during school with bullying, and it affected him. He ended up getting social anxiety, and some depression. Later in life, his parents ended in divorce, and it affected him by believing it was his fault and it brought on an anger issue for him. All this followed him through adulthood. It took him years to find the peace he has now and he wants to help others find it. Jeff has always had a passion to help others. He would always stand up for others.
Karen had to deal with trauma starting at a young age. This caused her to grow up feeling very lost and troubled. At the age of 14, Karen started drinking and got into drugs. At the age of 15 Karen tried to take her own life by overdosing. Even though she went through years of counseling she never felt the counselor "understood" her. All her life she was looked at as the "bad kid". If someone would have taken the time and ask what was really going on or try to understand what was going on things would have gone a lot better. She had a great parent but sometimes parents don't know how to help their child. Especially if it's something they never went through or understood it. Karen went through many programs. Nothing really stuck or helped. Karen ended up pregnant at the age of 17. At the age of 30 Karen was overdosing almost daily. She was dying. She ended up going to treatment and has stayed clean and sober since. Now she wants to help youth and teens with what they struggle with. Because with her that's where it all started. She struggled with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, etc... all while in her youth. She understands it. She had to become "empowered".
